Lisbon Summer School in Linguistics 2024

Focus: PhD students are the main target audience, but the courses are
not restricted to them and are open to a professional audience that
wants to keep up to date!

Description:
Organized by the Linguistics Research Centre of NOVA University Lisbon
(CLUNL), with the support of Portuguese Foundation for Science and
Technology (FCT), the Lisbon Summer School in Linguistics 2024
(LSSL2024) will be held at School of Social Sciences and Humanities of
NOVA University Lisbon between the 1st and the 5th of July, 2024.

9 courses are offered, 3 per area:

AREA 1: FORMAL AND EXPERIMENTAL LINGUISTICS
Course 1: L2 speech learning: from research to pronunciation teaching
– Adelina Castelo (Universidade Aberta, Portugal) & Chao Zhou

Course 2: Insights into the erosion and the reactivation of childhood
languages – Cristina Flores (Universidade do Minho, Portugal)
Course 3: Gradience in native and non-native grammars – Alexandra

AREA 2: TERMINOLOGY AND LEXICOGRAPHY
Course 1: Lexical relations: theory and practice – Alain Polguère

Course 2: Deciphering today’s world: a discursive and argumentative
approach – Ruth Amossy (Tel-Aviv University, Israel)
