Subject: Acquisition Sketch Project Meeting #5 - Data Processing

The next installment of our online meetings discussing the Acquisition
Sketch Project will be on Wednesday the 6th of March at:

- 9am UTC +1 (Berlin time) / 7pm UTC +11 (Sydney time)

- 5pm UTC +1 (Berlin time) / 8am UTC -8 (San Fransisco time) / 11am
UTC -5 (New York time)

We will focus on Data Processing - preparing files, selecting and
training transcribers, segmenting files, and selecting tiers for
transcribing and annotation.

The Acquisition Sketch Project is an initiative to increase diversity
in the languages for which we have information about acquisition
patterns (https://acquisition-sketch.phil-fak.uni-koeln.de). We
provide detailed guidelines for creating an acquisition sketch based
on five hours of data, and provide support through bimonthly online
meetings and personal consultation.

Currently, we are stepping our way through the topics in the Sketch
Acquisition Manual
(https://nflrc.hawaii.edu/ldc/sp28-the-acquisition-sketch-project/) -
this meeting covers section 3.1 of Part 1 of the Manual (pp. 22-30).

We look forward to seeing many of you again on Wednesday 6th March.
The session will also be uploaded to our YouTube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/@AcquisitionSketchProject. There you can find
the recording of the first three sessions as well.
