The National University of Singapore will hold a joint meeting of the

(ISMIL27), on June 5–7, 2024. The meeting will include a joint session
on Malayic languages of Borneo.

We invite abstracts for 20 minute talks at ISBL or ISMIL. Papers
presented at ISBL should be concerned with the languages of Borneo,
whereas presented at ISMIL are concerned with the Malay/Indonesian

encourage presentations from junior scholars and those from or in
partnership with local scholars and speakers, as well as work on
lesser studied language varieties. The language of presentation is
English.

The program features the following plenary speakers: for ISBL,
Charlotte Hemmings (University of Oxford) and Roselind Wan (Curtin
University Malaysia) and for ISMIL, Nala Lee (National University of
Singapore), Bradley McDonnell (University of Hawai’i), and Hiroki
