OAIR 2013 / RIAO 2013 - Lisbon, Portugal, May 22-24, 2013

http://oair2013.org

Welcome to OAIR 2013, the 10th International Conference in the RIAO
series.

The World Wide Web is the largest source of openly accessible data, and
the most common means to connect people and share resources.

How can we link these data, people and resources? What structure can we
use to search in this data? How can search in multimedia web data? How
can we model the web user and use this to improve search? How can one
user's preferences be used to recommend something to another user? How
can personal data be preserved in an open web? How do social connections
affect search?

This conference calls for papers describing recent research in
Information Retrieval concerning the integration between a Web of Data
and a Web of People, to transform pure data into information, and
information into usable knowledge.

The Open research Areas in Information Retrieval (OAIR) conference is a
triennial conference, addressing research topics related to the design
of robust and large-scale scientific and industrial solutions to
information processing.

OAIR 2013 conference is an opportunity to share knowledge among IR
scientific community and to get updates on new scientific work developed
by IR community.

We look forward to seeing you in the Europe´s Westernmost and sunniest
capital, LISBON!
