Dear Lowlanders,

Our own Hauke Wiebe reported about a new web site from Schleswig-Holstein, and
he gave us this URL for the language page:

It is incorrect and ought to be written thus:

http://www.shz.de/shzde/jhdstory/html/archiv/html/folge22.html

There is also a (Low Saxon/Low German) quote from Johann Hinrich Fehrs.  My
translation:

"Many people feel it would be nice if all Germans had a single language, if they
all spoke High German.  All I would like to ask these people is this: 'Should we
not sow [only] lupines, rape and mustard throughout German lands?' That would
create flowers in a uniform color, all yellow, yellow like May butter all over!
However, the Lord sows in a variety of seed, and that is why our world is so
beautiful when everything is in bloom.  Don't these good folks know that in the
event of our native language dying no one would have more reason to don mourning
clothes than her High German sister?"

[1] æ is a typological error in these works -- it ought to be œ.
