Subject: Personal name

I have long wondered from where my given name came, but thus far have not
had success in discovering anything definite.  It is a fairly common name
in Central Kansas Mennonite circles where I grew up, but I have not heard
of it anywhere else.  A friend from Holland whom I asked, had no clue, but
her friend, a German woman, said "Oh, that's easy.  It comes from the
Frisian Islands in the North Sea."  Can anyone confirm this?
