Subject: Non-asci characters and AOL

Liewe Laaglanders,

    America On Line apparently cannot support non-asci characters in outgoing
e-mail.  At least that is what AOL tech. support thinks, although they're not
sure.  If anyone knows how to generate non-asci characters while using AOL
could you please post the command sequence.

They must be mistaken in their assumption, John.  I frequently receive email
messages from European AOL users in languages other than English, and they use
their "special" characters.  Unfortunately I can't tell you how they do it,
but it seems to me that there is hope.
