It's no juist that, tho. It's the fact at the'r nae exposure ti Scots as Scots
i the schuil ti speak o - relate ti the fact at the'r nae kenspeckle visual
appearance for Scots. Whan the Scots words isna seen in ordinar contexts, but
only in dialect poietry, thay become identifeed wi that dialect, e'en tho thay
micht hae been common aawey no lang syne. Gin the war a leeteracy program in
Scots, wi the core vocabular introduced a wee bittie at a time, it wad be
anither thing aathegither.
