Dear Lowlanders,

Just now I found out that on Sunday, March 12, 2000, 8:15-10:00 a.m.
(20:15-22:00), the North German Broadcasting System N3 will air (from Hamburg)
an installment of the TV program "Talk op Platt" featuring our own Clara
Kramer-Freudenthal. As most of you already know, Ms. Kramer-Freudenthal has
her own newspaper column and has been publishing many short stories, essays
and poems and also a book in her Olland dialect of Low Saxon (Low German).
(You can find a good number of these with English translations at
<http://online.sh/freudenthal>.) What you may not yet know is that, at the age
of 80, she is quite active and does other things as well to benefit her Low
Saxon (Low German) language, which includes occasional media appearances.  I
hope that many of our Lowlanders will watch the program and will pass this
announcement on to their relatives and associates.
