Subject: language and religion

In the former municipality of Rijkel in Belgian Limburg (now merged with
Borgloon) street name shields in Dutch will be dedoubled with a version in
Limburgish. (Het Belang van Limburg, dd 2000-06-13)

The "Dionysius van Leeuwenstraat" e.g. will be translated as the
"Daolstroewet".

This process had to begin with a Roman-Catholic mass, quote (in Dutch):
"Na een eucharistieviering stelde burgemeester Colla de nieuwe borden voor."
Who doubts the Limburgish language has all blessings from heaven?
