Our English links page

interesting additions today.  Highlights:

The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (frames or Java version)

The Best of British: The American's guide to speaking British

Everyday English and Slang in Ireland

The Early Modern English Dictionaries Database (EMEDD)

The Lampeter Corpus of Early Modern English Tracts (a collection of texts on
various subject matter published between 1640 and 1740)

Michigan Early Modern English Materials (a searchable collection of electronic
text versions)

Middle English Compendium (a very useful site, including a dictionary and text
search facilities)

Old English Aerobics (an introduction to the language)

Pronouncing American English

The Sounds of Old English (Robert D. Stevick's book _A Firstbook of Old
English_ online in excerpt form with PDF files! Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader,
a free program.)
