John Feather asked...
> Now that we've talked about "aboot/aboat", what is the story of "anyhoo"?
> Who says it, where and why?
Well in my schooldays in Edinburgh (up to early 50's) it sometimes cropped
up in the town although it was more frequently used by rural residents a
whole six miles or so away. We Edinburghers used 'anywey' more often
although even 'onyhoo' was acceptable.
I don't know what current usage is as I've been in Queensland for 29 years.
