That's interesting. Here we have the expression "klabats" (bang, boom)
which we sometimes use when something falls to the ground or when
2 things are colliding, usually with a loud noise.

Henry,

Certainly, _Klabatsch_ and _klabats_ could be onomatopoetic, probably also LS
(and German) _klatschen_ 'clap', 'smack', 'swash'.

Note also the Low Saxon (Low German) verb _klabastern_ 'to walk, stomp or run
noisily (especially with heavy footwear, such as clogs)'.  (Low Saxon has a
great wealth of verbs of motion of this kind, e.g., numerous verbs that
basically denote 'to go' or 'to walk' but also express the specific manner.)
