Couldn't help submitting some Zeelandic examples. I know an extensive list
already exists, but I can't find it right now. So a few Zeeland placenames
in Dutch and Zeeuws then:

A few houses near Heinkenszand are known as 'de Gosvazze', gos being grass
and vazze being a sod. The municipality wrongly translated it into Dutch as
'Grasvast'. Later, it was translated more properly as 'Graszode'....
That's all folks. At least, for now.

Place-names are exceedingly important in language
study: not only do that track linguistic development
and movements of peoples, they also mould an
environment in which mother tongue can feel truly at
home, without having to use imposed variants dictated
from the imperial capital.

To that end, and as I live in the Six Counties (Ian
may be able to help me, I'm hoping) - does anyone here
have a list of Ulster-Scots versions of placenames in
Ulster (i.e., including the counties of Donegal, Cavan
and Monaghan under Twenty-Six County jurisdiction)? I
understand that St Johnstown in Donegal is a large
Ulster-Scots area. Is this true?

It seems to me that one of the greatest obstacles to
the promotion of Ulster Scots here in Ireland is that
on the whole, the nationalist/republican population
(and, I would argue, many unionist/loyalists) don't
know exactly what the difference between Ulster Scots
and the English of the Six Counties is. Further, there
are no geographical definitions of the Ulster-Scots
heartlands that are readily available. If anything
needs to be done to ensure respect for and
dissemination of Ulster Scots, it is firstly to make
the people of Ireland familiar with what it is, where
it is spoken, and by whom. It is clear that many
nationalists/republicans also speak Ulster Scots: it
is not merely the "unionist reaction to Irish".

I hope Ian or anyone else can help.
