Not in my dialect. We use _folgen_ not only in the meaning of attending
a funeral, but also in the sense of the other examples you named.

There are probably many verbs to which this has happened, but the only
example that came to mind was "treden" (usually pronounced as "tren"
or something like that...). This used to mean "to walk / to trod", and also
"to kick", but nowadays it's almost exclusively used in the sense of "to
kick".
