Subject: Help needed

[English version below]

Leve Leeglanners,

Ik heff maal wedder 'n Fraag', wull wat in 't Neddersassische
(Nedderdüütsche) översetten un weet d'n Naam vun een Ding nich, un de
Wöörböker helpt mi nich wieder. Dat Woord, dat ik söken do, betekent de
Spool, de 'n bi'n Weven up d'n Weevstohl (~ Weevtau ~ Wevertau ~ Weevstell)
hin- un trüggwitschen lett. Up ("Hoog"-)Düütsch heett dat _Schiffchen_
("Schippje"), up Ingelsch _shuttle_ un up Schottsch _spule_ ("Spool"). Dat
nedderlandsche ("hollandsche") Woord is _schietspoel_, wöördlich överdragen
"Scheetspool" (de Spool, de hin un trügg scheten dait). Is "Scheetspool"
amenn dat Woord, dat ik söken do? Keen kann mi wiederhelpen?

In 't Vörruut bedankt.
Grötens,
Reinhard/Ron

Dear Lowlanders,

Here I go again with a question. I was going to translate something into
Low Saxon (Low German) and do not know the name of a certain object, and
dictionaries are of no help. The word I am looking for denotes the spool
that goes back and forth on a weaving loom. In ("High") German it is
_Schiffchen_ ("little ship"), in English "shuttle," and in Scots _spule_
("spool"). The Dutch word is _schietspoel_ ("shooting spool"). Translated
into Low Saxon this would be _Scheetspool_ ['SEItspo%Ul]. Might that the
word I am looking for? Who can help?

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
