Has there been a discussion of the silent letters(non-vocal) used in
spelling?
Ex.  should...rather than...shoud ( without and l)
Are these spelling a form of morphology?
French spelling is notorious for these spelling combinations but LL and
other related languages don't seem to have this form of writing/spelling.
