Pat,

For some North German examples of this type of architecture you might like
to
check out the Lbeck site "Lbeck-Informationen":
http://www.luebeck-netzwerk.de/informationen/finfos.htm

Go to "Architekturfhrer":
http://www.luebeck-netzwerk.de/_private/fs/informationen/architektur/archite
ktur.htm

Then go to "Fassadenfibel":
http://www.luebeck-netzwerk.de/_private/fs/informationen/architektur/archite
ktur.htm

Finally, choose any link under "Die Beispiele" to get an overview of the
variety of faades in that city (which used to be the center of the Hanseatic
League).

All the best with your trips!

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron

Actually I know of a single example in Brisbane Australia. It is an old
Council building from last century when the area involved was independent
frmo greater Brisbane. AScot must have designed it with love, it is a good
granite greystone rather than our common sandstone and is now H.Q. for the
local historical society.
