Luistxo Fernandez, "a Basque internaut," collects place names in the local
languages, versions of names that otherwise never get a mention outside the
respective language.  His collection is quite large.  Limburgish is still
missing, as is Zeelandic.  Luistxo (geonative at geocities.com) is a very
pleasant guy and seems keen enough to add new languages, lists and names.

I just realized that on the Low Saxon (Low German) list I donated to the
site I gave "Viersen - Viesche."  If you help Luistxo with a Limburgish
list, he ought to add "Viersen - Viesche" to that list as well, because
"Viesche" (['fi:S@]) is really Limburgish, although Limburgish dialects of
Germany are lumped together with the Low Saxon ones under "Low German" in
Germany.  I am bcc'ing Luistxo on this issue, so he will be informed.  I
hope that a new Limburgish list will contain names from the Netherlands,
Belgium and Germany.
