Hi, Ron, Leeg- an Lowlanners,

this evening I got a mail using the Low-Saxon word "Deez" ("Döötz"), E.:
"head", G. "Kopf", "Haupt".

Does any of  You people know something about it's derive?

 There is following the "Döösbaddel" E.: "fool", G.: "Dummbatz",
"Idiot";
and then (adj.) LS: "döösig", E.: "foolish", "stupid", G.: "dusselig".
In
Upper German we have also the "dösen", means a kind of sleeping near to
be
awake.

Just a supplement:

there is also the L.S.: "Schandassel", meaning "head" or Upper G.
"Schädel" as well.
Could it be a French/L.S. Mixture?
