Hi, Mathieu, Sandy, Leeglanners,

I'm missing LL-L activities, perhaps caused by Ron's surgery. But- I'm
sure,
You (two*s*) will be an (nearly) adeaqual compensation, and I like to go
on
in discussions.

Some days ago I wrote under: LL-L "History" 2002.08.06 (E/German),

Meanwhile I started some investigations, referring to this theme, and I
didn't find ANY other place name in (former or nowadays) slavic areas
ending
in "-dam" at all. There are also very, very few places in Upper German
regions to have this ending

 May be, it's just a new crazy idea of mine; I'm a notorious
"un-believer",
going too far very often.

But- in spite of it I'd like to hear some different meaning about this -
I
have to confess it- "outsidish" meaning..

Ron often wrote about those German "just-listeners" ("kunkelooren") in
our
circle, and NOW I await them to come out of their seats. It's a matter
of
"National Signification", eh- *s*, because "Potsdam" is THUS Prussianic,
as
we had to learn!
