Dear Lowlanders,

I know that quite a few of you reside in areas of Central and Eastern
Europe that are currently threatened or affected by horrendous floods.
I have lived through a catastrophic flood myself and thus know how bad
and terrifying such an experience can be.  I am sure I am not the only
one on Lowlands-L who is concerned about you.  If possible, please let
us know how you are faring.

Your Lowlands friends' wishes, thoughts and prayers are with you and
yours.
