Beste Laaglanders,

In v.d. Broecke-De Man & Francke, Dialecten van Walcheren (1987) vond ik
de volgende zinnen:

J' oa t'r de deure nie fò uut nôôdug, je kon 't oal tuus doe (blz. 204)
't was wèrrem en j' oa d'r hlad nie uut nôôdug, j'oa oalles an bôôrd!
(blz. 98)

In het Zeeuws kan HEBBEN + NIET de betekenis 'niet hoeven' hebben,
vergelijk bijvoorbeeld ook:

Má 't grôôte voordêêl was, j'oa 't nie mì in de pit uut te spoelen (blz.
206)

In de eerste twee zinnen wordt HEBBEN + NIET echter gecombineerd met een
curieus NODIG.

Ik zou de lezers van deze lijst, in het bijzonder misschien de Zeeuwen,
willen vragen of ze deze of soortgelijke constructies met NODIG uit hun
dialect kennen.

Ik ben in deze constructie geinteresseerd vanwege een verbinding met
NODIG in het Westerlauwers Fries, waar ik me op dit moment mee bezighou.
Het gaat om voorbeelden als

Hja wiene nedich wat te fertsjinjen
lett. ze waren nodig wat te verdienen
= ze moesten (nodig) wat verdienen

Hier betekent de combinatie van ZIJN + TE-INFINITIEF + NODIG zoveel als
'(nodig) moeten'.

Ik ben benieuwd of dergelijke NODIG-constructies ook in andere
Laaglandse dialecten voorkomen.
