Subject: Measures
When I was in grad school, I had a Japanese housemate. He asked where to
shop for souveniers when he was about to return to Japan. I told him that
whatever he bought would likely be of Asian manufacture, and his shopping
trip confirmed it. I suggested American rulers, measuring cups and spoons,
and the like. After conferring these gifts on friends and relatives, he
reported to me that everyone was delighted with such exotic items.

We all have our own take on things.
