I don't believe we should dismiss well thought out hypotheses; however,
they need to be examined thoroughly and tested scientifically.  When
that level of testing cannot be achieved, doubt must remain.  My
inference is that it can be difficult to separate influences languages
have on one another from historical relationships that are buried in
prehistory, and cannot be documented.  Perhaps methods for uncovering
both later influences and ancestral relationships can be developed.
