Dan houdt u rekening met de inwoners en niet met de vele duizenden
ambtenaren die van Brussel een echte 2-talige stad maken gedurende de
dag.

Inderdaad, wanneer iemand Rijsel(Lille) bezoekt dan voel je de  Vlaamse
spirit  overal aanwezig. En dat allemaal zonder complexen!
Brussel daarentegen zit nog met een heleboel complexen, de Franstaligen
dan toch. Zij bestempelen nog veel te vaak Vlaams als extreem
conservatief of rechts.  Daar zij weinig contact hebben met die Vlaamse
cultuur, blijven die vooroordelen nog altijd verder leven. Gelukkig
bestaan er initiatieven om de twee groepen wat dichter bij elkaar te
brengen (Denk aan het Kunsten festival des arts,enz...). Pas op het
moment dat een Franstalige zich niet meer gedraagt als een pas bekeerde
en een beetje wil inzien dat hij meestal Vlaamse voorouders heeft, zal
hij zonder complexen naar zijn eigen verleden kunnen kijken.

Wat historisch dus volkomen fout is. Soms ben  je iets tegen wil en
dank.

Toch is dit niet helemaal zo. Ook de Frans-Vlamingen vinden het jammer
dat zij die tweede taal niet machtig zijn.Waarom hebben die taallessen
daar zoveel succes?

Al heel vroeg in de geschiedenis heeft de Franse taal imperialistische
kenmerken tentoon gespreid, helemaal gegroeid vanuit de machtsposities
van de adel toentertijd.Franstaligen willen maar niet begrijpen dat wij
als Vlamingen onze taal wel hebben willen houden. Dat is onze strijd.
Dat heeft op zich niets met de Franse taal zelf te maken (Een mooie
taal overigens).
Van de week hebben we daar nog een staaltje van gezien in het Europese
parlement. Rijke Franstaligen uit de randgemeenten van Brussel willen
zich niet aanpassen in het gebied waar zij wonen. Zij wonen in
Vlaanderen maar willen niets met de mensen uit de streek te maken
hebben . Zij willen wel geld voor hun verenigingen om zich apart te
kunnen houden. Toch kunnen ze een paar kilometer(!!) verder volop
genieten van hun officiële Franstalige rechten. Muggenziften is dit.
Maar het vertroebelt toch de onderlinge verstandhoudingen.

Als u de  Franse landkaart bekijkt en even bestudeert welke talen er
verdwenen zijn, dan kunt u terecht spreken van een cultuur-uitmoorden.
