Thanks!  Although here in the New Mexico desert there is very little
that reminds me of the dark and cold of Sinterklaas back home, I did
manage to mail order a supply of speculaas, pepernoten, and banket-
staaf, which I will present to my American colleagues during an ex-
tensive coffee break this morning.  If last year is any indication,
it will all be gone by 11am MST!

It seems that each culture has at least one celebration which is
largely unique.  Here in the US, for me, it is Thanksgiving, and
back home, in the Netherlands, it definitely is Sinterklaas.
