Interesting for this list is p. 75-78:
Georg Cornelissen:
Deutsch-niederländische Nachbardialecte - die "Undertöne".
An audio-CD with language samples, illustrating this article, is joint to
the magazine.

The topic covers the area,
around Nijmegen - Venray in the Netherlands
and
Kleve - Duisburg in Gernany
(Kleverländisches Dialektgebiet)

What it wants to illustrate is that the Netherlands-German border is a
reality and that the dialects are colored by the standard languages.

Quote:
"Das Platt zu beiden Seiten der Grenze ist im großen und ganzen dasselbe,
auch wenn man sofort hört, ob ein Deutscher oder Niederländer es spricht."
"Verschiedene "Untertöne" machen einen Akzent aus: die Intonation, die
Aussprache einzelber Laute, die Artikulationsbasis... Was genau, darüber
ließe sich diskutieren."

The final remark is the weakness, I think, of this brief article with its
CD-rom. It shows an audible difference, but it fails to make an analysis of
the elements of that difference, and leaves it all to the subjective(?)
appraisal of the listener.
