Thanks for all reactions concerning kosher, halal & freak.
I have a new question:
What does "Tov" mean in "Mazel-Tov".
Is it related to the Dutch "tof"?

Roger,

Yiddish _mazl tov_ (מזל טובֿ) ['maz=ltOf] literally means "Good fortune!" and
is used to render "Congratulations!" (for instance on the birth or _briss_
[_brith_ 'circumcision] of a baby, a Bar Mitzvah or Bath Mitzvah (the Jewish
equivalent of Christian confirmation), a wedding, an anniversary ...). It
comes from Hebrew _mazál tôv_ (מזל טוב). _Mazál_ means 'fortune' or 'luck',
and _tôv_ means 'good' (masculine). (In Semitic languages an adjective
follows the noun it modifies.)

I guess it is possible that Dutch _tof_ was at least indirectly derived from
it.

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
