Thanks, Roger.  I'll listen to it later.

This is a very well-know lullabye, probably the most beloved.  Most people
think of it as a folksong, but it was written by Abraham Goldfaden (Avrom
Goldfodn, 1840-1906).  I believe Goldfaden's original version is pretty much
like the one you gave, though the transliteration you got is most peculiar.

The now popular version uses _kindele_ 'child' (diminutive) instead of
_yidele_ '(little) Jew', only the first verse tends to be sung, and the
prologue tends to be omitted too.
