"Warder", "Werder" koomen.

Düsse Wöör meeint joo woll (UG) "Insel"["Sand -bank auch], (E) "island",
meerstendeel in 'n (LS) "Stroum" (UG) "Fluss", (E) "river", sau ass
"Finkenwerder" in Hamburg. In uns Rebeed waard dat tau "-woerden"
(Dingwoerden, door leev ick). Sünnt aallens höögere Steellen.

And- I guess- a "hawk's curtilege" also must be a higher place- though I
didn't find the word in my Oxford Dic.

"Curtilege" was falsch schräven, schull "curtilage" wäst sien.

"Curtilage" = 'homestead/farmstead (surrounded by gardens and fences)' (<
Old Franzöössch _courtille_ 'small court')

Of "Worth" un "Ord" nu wahrhaftig tosamenhangt, dat wäät ik nich, twiewel
daar ook an, heff man upstääds bloots keen Togang to mien Wöörböker.

Old Ingelsch hett _worþ_, _weorþ_ un _wurþ_ daar för, Oldsassisch _wurð_,
Middelsassisch _wurd_ un _word_.  Amenn hett dat wat mit dat Tiedwoord
_wäsen_ [to be] to doon, or _warden_ [to become] (germaansch /r/ ~ /z/).

Dat Neddersassische (Plattdüütsche) hett schients _Eiland_ /ailand/ för
'Insel', tominnst 'n Insel in de See.  Is nich 'n "Warder" man bloots 'n
Insel in 'n Stroom or 'n See (Söötwater)?  Ik meen jümmer, dat hett wat mit
ingelsch _to ward (off)_ (< _weardian_, oldsassisch _wardon_, 'wachen',
'uutkieken', 'afwähren' ("säker Land"?)) un _ward_ (< weard, oldsassisch
