in our regional Low-Saxon people oftenly use

for "queen": "Deern" (girl in E)
and for "jack": "Jung' " (boy in E).

A strange thing about this word in Scots (though perhaps only
in my dialect) "shuffle" is pronounced "shovel" and "shovel"
is pronounced "shuffle".

So it's "shovel /'SVv=l/ the cairds".
