I'd say that both spellings are appropiate. First of all, there are no
official spelling guide lines for the Limburgish language, there are only
some (good) efforts.

The combination gk and kg both represent the exact same sound which can't
be
found in Dutch: the g as in English 'good'. Since there are no official
guide lines, both gk and kg can be found in written Limburgish, therefor
neither is 'wrong'. The o and ó represent a slightly different
pronounciation of the o-sound, I guess.

Look further and you'll probably find more alternative spellings! :-)

In my homevillage version (Vliermaal, Belgian Limburg)
the word is "sjok".

"sj" is used as in Dutch, e.g. "sjouwen" (lug, drag)
it corresponds phonetically to "ch" in French "chanter"
or to "sch" in German "schön"
or to "sh" in English "show".
