Congrats to the folks taking care of the site. It
looks fantastic. It feels nice having the site hosted
in the Netherlands (just a private prejudice).
Noticing that there is a new list member from
Adelaide, I would like to address him/her as well as
the other Australian members of the list to get what
they perceive as phonetic differences by region in
Australia. I've read conflicting reports on this, and
would like to know the perception of people who might
have some knowledge or at least interest in this (as
they are on this list). My experience (so far) in
Australia was too short to draw any conclusions, and
was limited to Adelaide and Sydney.
And in passing, let me mention to the new Adelaidean
member, that while based on only 7 days of experience
almost two years ago, Adelaide is my absolute favorite
place on this planet! Go Crows! (I'm in Southern
California). Plus how can you not love a place whose
beach town is a palindrome: Glenelg!!!
Looking forward to the answer.
Stan
