Hello Ron and Thomas, I have a question. From my knowledge of the expression
that "its a red herring" there is no such thing as red herring. I must be
wrong. I live in Arizona, so I am not exposed to ocean fishes. Is that also
the color of herringbone?

Hmmm... probably Ron, but you really shouldn't be telling on him.

Speaking of pranks... I have just returned from a workshop weekend with
about 30 people. There were only two of us from Lower Saxony, and we were
both often called "Lork" by our older brothers when we were little (quite
undeserved, of course). None of the others had ever heard of the word. It's
something between a rascal and a brat, but usually meant in a nice way, a
bit like "you're a card" or "you"re a rum 'un".

Is there a similar word in other Lowlands languages? Can anyone figure out
the ento... no, ethno... no, etho... econo... entero... whatever of this?
