Hi John,

In my hometown "Roeselare" (Oekene is a part of it) we still have a
number of people that  uses "Bargoens".
They are all merchants who travelled a lot during the year, and were
only at home in wintertime. We call them "nieuwmarkters", and they have
even a statue, symbolising their importance,  in the centre of the town
("Peegie" who merchandises with shoepolish).
In the library we have two different dictionnaries "
Bargoens/Nederlands".
