And now for something completely different:

While googling something for a translation, I stumbled upon the humourous
Lower Saxon ballad "Der Vehlefanzer Krieg". This is of particular interest
because the longish poem is rendered here in two different versions of
Platt, plus a third version where the owner of the website, Christian
Gering, combined the two versions into a comprehensive one in "modern
spelling". They're all next to each other, verse for verse, so it's easy to
compare. You don't have to be an avid linguist to enjoy this... ;-)
