Subject: Duisburg?

Hello, Lowlanders. I have never been to the Lowlands. In fact, Mexico and
Canada are the only foreign countries to which I have been, but I have heard
of a city in southwestern Germany called Duisburg. I am confident that it is
not within the Lowlands area, but it ties to the list. I am taking a
mythology class at community/junior college, and we touched on the Germanic
god of laws and legal contracts. The teacher spelled his name Tuiz. Is that
a Lowlands spelling? Is Duisburg named after that particular deity? If not,
after what did they name it, and when was it named? I know that d and t are
common letters that interchange with the passage of time.
