Latha math dhutsa a'charaid cuideachd.

Are you asking them to send the tape in Scots? Unsurprisingly they don't
seem to do from what you say- as I expected - they are not that developed
in their support of Scots yet as Gaelic ( and even that is fairly
tokenistic ) - but maybe just asking would indicate that there is an
interest and demand to have it down on tape -so people can hear the language
instead of just read it. Perhaps if you requested it you could say that if
they don't do it yet in Scots it would be useful and interesting -
especially for those people of Scottish descent living abroad whom many of
their ancestors if they were not Gaelic speakers then were almost certainly
Scots speakers. It is o.k to see a language written down - but you never
really get a flavour of it until you hear it spoken. Maybe if enough people
on this list request a tape of it in Scots - even if they don't produce want
at the moment it may encourage them to produce one.

Again thanks to everyone for doing this as this is the first and only
support I have seen from the Scottish parliament for the Scots language -
and just by you all asking for it will make them realise that there is a
demand and that there is more point to them supporting the language than
mere tokenism

Suas leis an strì!!!!
