Subject: Places

Hi everyone - and especially the many that answered my question

I'm studying for my Doctorate in (Germanic) Linguistics and often find that
when it comes to Dutch
descriptions of dialectal phenomena the maps that I have don't show the
places these books talk about. I'd looked through all the maps I've got
(admittedly not very many) and couldn't find the limits of the Randstad (in
this instance where r is usually the throaty (gebrouwde) r ([R]) and
variably dropped/vocalised which ties in nicely with what we were talking
about a couple of weeks ago...) I knew I could rely on this you lot. Thanks
a lot

Gary
