    Jy prat dareme ankervol nê! Dis sieke daai narre op die verhoeg wat lat
man dink "djy kan net in djou ghantag threads innie Kaaanival soe djollie
prat." of sing, "soes innie lietjie:
'Maaa, da kommie djong soldaat, hay bRRRiek may haaat etc'. tot
'May voerre loep na Wellinton ma ek gat Woester tooo!'." Oe, ik vagiet,
" 'Endie blikkie se boem val ayt en al die djam loep ayt.' "

Nee, Elsie, daardie djy en djouers is doodgewone Swartlanders gewees -
djollie kêrels. Ek weet nie hoe bedoel u met taalvaardighede nie, maar ek
sal meedeel mens leer flippin finnig te kommunikeer, wat ookal praat die
ander kêrel! Ek skat dit vat 'n doodgewone Engelse soutie - immagrant nê, en
hy praat die Taal net so vlot soos sy makker. Die enigste probleem is om die
vuil taal uit te sif!
