Well, I'll be!  I'm American born and bred (whatever that means!) and I
NEVER heard of Forefathers' Day!  Not only that, but I've been an American
for 54 years, so why haven't I heard about it?  Is this one of them
newfangeled thangs?

Well, where have you been all those years, huh?  No, just kidding.  It's on
the calendar, but it's probably one of the gezillion holidays that hardly
anyone celebrates.

Apparently it's not really newfangled, is connected with the "Pilgrims" in
Plymouth (who rejected Christmas).
