Hello all !
If Ron's list of translations is correct it is a little irritating that
there are same names for different animals in Dutch and some other languages
vs. German and Low Saxon.
Is Dutch "brandgans" really Branta leucopsis ?  German "Brandgans" and Low
Saxon "bran(d)gaus" (I think there are other names, too. For
Wangeroog-Frisian I know bäärgh-an [an = duck]) denote Tadorna tadorna.

Entenmuschel = Lepas anatifera (wang. loonghalsen)
Seepocke = Balanus balanoides/B. crenatus (wang. doorns)
