I saw this. Sadly, for anyone who has grown up in any part of the UK, it
will not come as a surprise. If you grow up outside of the tiny BBC
English-accented minority, you are humiliated each and every day by some
chauvinist demanding you "speak properly". Soon enough children learn
self-censorship and a shame of their variant. Only a handful of people in
every hundred would even acknowledge there was anything wrong in this
(despite most people finding a RP accent 'posh' and irritating).

Poor fellas, our languages.
