Folks,

Though it presumes you have Flash installed (which you can download free of
charge, I believe), the best Lowlands Saxon (Low German) website I've seen
so far is probably the Drenthe (Netherlands) Lowlands Saxon one entitled
"Taolpad Drenthe" (http://www.taolpaddrenthe.nl/index_flash.html).

Even if you don't understand Lowlands Saxon and/or Dutch (which are the two
choices), you should take a look at it, just to see how it is presented.

Of particular intererest is the link entitled _Schrieverij_ (_Literatuur_ in
Dutch). It takes you to a map of Drenthe. You can click on any of the
full-color dots, and it will bring up an introduction to a writer of that
place. Click on the icons, and they take you to the author's biosketch,
list of publications, two types of videos of him or her (usually outdoors)
reading a (piece of a) work of his/hers (with the text being scrolled
through underneath the video!), and a couple of written examples, in this
order. Very nifty, very impressive and very inspiring! I was quite
thrilled to see this, also because I had corresponded with two or three of
them, and it's great to see them "in action."

Kumpelmenten,
Reinhard,Ron
