I'd like to buy some etymological dictionaries in the near future, since
I don't have any yet, and it happens more and more that I'd really like
to look something up. In the latest etymological exchange, 2
dictionaries were already mentioned:

>
> Jan de Vries' Nederlands Etymologisch Woordenboek

>
> Van Dale Etymologish woordenboek (Van Veen / Van der Sijs, 1997)

Can anyone else recommend etymological dictionaries? And I don't mean
for Dutch only, I'm also looking for English and German etymological
dictionaries.

regards,
Henry

Oh, and for Lowlands Saxon etymological dictionaries too, of course, but
I don't think there are any. Are there?

good gaon,
Henry
