The area has been named Isalaland, Salaland, and Salland, in that
(chronological) order. I'm just stating a fact, I'm not saying that that
has nothing to do with the Salian Franks, which did come from Salland.
Maybe the name "Salian" was applied only after the area became to be
known as "Salaland"?
