Subject: LL-L "Resources" 2005.01.30 (02) [E]

On the subject of resources...does anyone know of an English-English on-line
resource that would give the "Germanic" equivalent of a "Romance" word, and
vice versa? For example, let's say I want to write something that uses
mostly English words that stem from Germanic roots. So, I would look up the
word "important" and would get something like "weighty." Or, I would look
up "pork" and get "swine" and so forth.

Thanks for your help.

Mark Brooks
