Subject: Anniversary

Folks,

Thanks to two non-member volunteers, we now have additional Limburgish
translations, in the dialects of Brunssum (Netherlands Limburg) and Bilzen
(Belgian Limburg), both of them close to the German border.

I have begun adding transliterations in German-based spelling to the NL and
B Limburgish translations, mostly in order to show, as in the case of Low
Saxon, that differences between varieties are not as great as they seem on
account of differences in orthography.

I have a feeling that these are responses to our Mathieu's recent publicity
blitz. Thanks, Mathieu!

Our Ingmar has sent me his wife's Dutch recording. I will listen to it
tonight, then, as soon as possible, reduce its size and post it. Thanks,
Ingmar and Barbara!

Folks, you're not yet off the hook. Please keep the translations, soundfiles
and personal introductions coming! Simply send them to me.

I will be in California beginning Wednesday evening, returning to Seattle on
July 11. If you send me any material during that period, please don't
worry. I will post them as soon after my return as I can manage.

Thanks and regards,
Reinhard/Ron
