As for another spelling mistake that is pretty common, I see devide for
divide.

Dankje, Reinhard/Ron!

Dat wist ek nie.
Ik spreek geen Suid Afrikaans, en ook geen Fries of Westfries. I shall
continue in English.
I am intrigued by all these peopl;e who know so much about lowland
languages.
I am a technician by education and former profession, but had an interest in
language, shall I say: from the day I was born (about 73 years ago)?
I'll probably leave this forum pretty soon though, because of a time problem
(I have ALS, a progressive fatal disease, relative slow progression, but
still ...). Reading all mails from LL-L consumes time, to say the least.
At school I learned English, German and French, and through my work English
and German. I like Scots and if I had time plenty, I'd learn Gaelic (Have
Scots friends who speak it fluently).
During the short period I joined, I appreciated the convesation a lot.
Orrabest,

Jan van Atten
